Nature, memory, and serenity come together in this reflection — a beautiful account of how Maes Mynan Park became a personal sanctuary filled with daily joys and quiet magic.
I am currently sitting here, distracted by the scenery that surrounds me — something that happens often at Maes Mynan Park!
It truly is the most beautiful and inviting holiday park I have been fortunate enough to discover. A hidden gem where the far-reaching views change hourly, depending on the weather, the light, and the season.
Right now, spring has painted the landscape in an extensive palette of greens, mixed with the silvery bark of my favourite trees — the silver birch — alongside many other wonderful varieties. It is truly breathtaking, and it takes my breath away daily!
My grandchildren love it here too.
Springtime at Maes Mynan is something special.
Little flowers awaken overnight — banks of wood anemones, wood violets, and primroses have delighted us first, followed by bluebells, campions, and the rich scent of ramsons (wild garlic).
Daily walks bring something new to smile about, and today I heard the cuckoo — pure joy!
I couldn’t help but think of the ditty we used to sing at school:
“The cuckoo comes in April,
He sings in May,
He changes his tune in the middle of June,
And in July he flies away.”
Hearing the cuckoo is truly special, especially as it’s a sound you don’t hear everywhere these days.
Maes Mynan is tranquil, peaceful, and gives you space to stop, breathe, and find your own peace.
I love this holiday heaven. I can choose to be still, to walk in the sequoia woods, or to settle by the lakes and be bewitched by the views. I can also engage with friendly faces in passing — there’s always a warm soul about. I’m never lonely.
The support team at Maes Mynan is wonderful — always available to assist with any queries — and the groundskeepers work tirelessly to maintain the immaculate parkland that makes this place so magical.
Maes Mynan is beautifully tucked away, yet only a short distance from key road routes and historic towns filled with things to see and do. Coastal walking and exploring wider North Wales are never far away either.
Maes Mynan Park has it all.
It’s the answer to my prayers — my piece of heaven — and I am forever thankful I found it.
