Acornleisure.com is an independent website owned by PHB(NW) Ltd trading as Acorn Leisure and we collect certain information or data about you when you use our website. This isn’t unusual most websites do!
As we operate a holiday and leisure park business, and your privacy is important to us and that means your data too.
We’ve outlined below how we might collect your data when you use this site, what type of data we collect, how it’s stored and if we share it, who it’s shared with. We also highlight your rights in relation to that data.

COMMENTS: AKISMET ANTI-SPAM
We use Akismet to protect our comments from spam. Akismet collects information about visitors who comment on Sites that use Akismet its anti-spam service. The information typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
MAILING LISTS
As part of any registration process for our email newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons:

- We handle these enquiries in-house and will only pass on personal information to a third party with your consent, for example, if you have requested an introduction to a holiday home manufacturer, dealer, insurance provider.
- We must hold details of people who request information about our products or services to provide it. However, we only use these details to provide the information or service the person has requested and for other closely related purposes.
WHERE YOUR DATA IS STORED
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by our hosting company, namely cloudabove, (SWBROADBAND Ltd), 1 King Mark House, Stret Constantine, Newquay, Cornwall, TR7 1GF.
HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you subscribe to our mailing list; we’ll store your email address for as long as you are subscribed to the list. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link within any communication we send to you.
Visitors to our websites
When someone visits acornleisure.com website, as we use third party services, such as Google Analytics and WordPress Jetpack, we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of our websites. This information is only processed in a way that does not identify anyone. If you fill in an on-line form on this website, the information is uploaded to our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and processed by the relevant internal department. In addition to your data being held on our CRM system, any data sent by you will also be held on the websites Content Managed System (CMS) for 30 days; thereafter your data will then be automatically and permanently deleted, but may still be held on our CRM system in order to provide information as requested, process an order, or update you with news if you have given us your consent.
People who email us
We use Google Mail endpoint security to protect email traffic. If your email service does not support this, you should be aware that any emails we send or receive may not be protected in transit.
We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.

When you call Acorn Leisure, the information you provide may be recorded. We use this information to help improve our efficiency and standard of service.

We manage our social media pages and interactions in-house. If you send us a private or direct message via social media or other messaging service, your enquiry may be passed on to the relevant internal department to handle your query.

Suppliers using the on-line form
Suppliers who enter their details into our on-line messaging form have their details passed to our purchasing team, who will then pursue the enquiry. This data is stored on our website CMS for 30 days. By filling out the expression of interest to supply form you have consented for us to contact you.

Access to your information and correction

If you agree, we will try to deal with your request informally, for example by providing you with the specific information you need over the telephone.

In most circumstances we will not disclose personal data without consent. However, when we investigate a complaint, for example, we may need to share personal information with the organisation concerned and with other relevant bodies.
