🌿 JH's Testimonial – A Place of Tranquil Beauty at Maes Mynan Park

Holiday lodge nestled in nature at Maes Mynan Park in Flintshire, North Wales

A celebration of stillness, birdsong, and ever-changing seasonal colour — Jane’s words capture the true essence of Maes Mynan as a peaceful, soul-restoring escape.

Maes Mynan Park is truly a special place, nestled among some of the most beautiful natural scenery I’ve experienced. Throughout the changing seasons, it displays an incredible spectrum of colours and hues — each visit revealing something new and quietly spectacular.

The atmosphere is peaceful, quiet, and serene.
You’re surrounded by the gentle sounds of nature — birdsong, the rhythmic tapping of a woodpecker, and the distant call of a buzzard. It’s a place where silence is soothing, not empty.

Immaculate and sedate, the park is thoughtfully maintained with woodland walks, diverse wildlife, and meadows rich with wildflowers. Every path leads to a new opportunity to slow down and take in the simple joy of being surrounded by nature.

For me, Maes Mynan is a tranquil retreat — somewhere I can truly disconnect from the fast pace of life. And yet, it never feels like a compromise. The lodges are beautifully designed, offering comfort and luxury that blend seamlessly with the natural environment.

It’s more than a holiday park. It’s a place to breathe, restore, and feel at peace.

🐾 Wes’s Testimonial – Our Perfect Retreat.

Wes’s story beautifully captures the balance of comfort, nature, and care that defines Maes Mynan — including the joy of finding the perfect place to unwind and make new memories.

We absolutely adore Maes Mynan Holiday Park!

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the lovely and welcoming staff, who made us — and our two dogs — feel right at home.
It’s so peaceful and quiet, offering a real sense of escape.

We especially love the secluded atmosphere, with private walks through the beautiful woodland. Surrounded by nature and wildlife, it feels like we’ve found our own little bubble.

The site fees are really reasonable, offering exceptional value for such a scenic, well-maintained park. The trees, plants, and flowers are arranged so thoughtfully — it truly is a feast for the eyes.

We also want to give a special mention to Louise and Peter.
Louise was amazing — she listened to what we wanted and helped us find a lodge that’s even better than we imagined.

Our holiday home has everything we need — huge patio doors, south-facing views down the Vale of Clwyd, morning sunshine for coffee, and evening sunsets with a glass of wine.

We’ve got bird feeders on the balcony, and we’re regularly joined by blue tits, goldfinches, long-tailed tits, robins… even a cheeky squirrel that always makes us laugh!

Twelve months on, we’re still discovering new things and falling in love with this place again and again.

Every day here feels like a bonus. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and beautiful retreat.

🌸 SL's Testimonial – A Sanctuary for the Soul

Stunning Clwdyian Range Countryside & lake views | luxury lodges for sale at Maes Mynan Holiday Park | North Wales

SL’s journey is one of simplicity, peace, and rediscovery — a poetic reflection of how Maes Mynan Park has become a sanctuary at this stage of her life.

I was a teenager in the ’60s.
Sex, drugs, and rock & roll?
I missed all that — married at twenty, two children by twenty-four.

We escaped the craziness the only way we could — camping, caravanning, and then, eventually… lodging.

Now, amazingly, we’re in our 70s — and we find ourselves doing the same again, enjoying our lodge overlooking the lake.

Maes Mynan is my “Happy Place.”

A place of peace and tranquillity in a world of unrest and violence.

Here, I can walk.
I can connect with wildlife and nature.
And in doing so, I find my own peace of mind.

Maes Mynan really does soothe my soul.

🌸 WP's Testimonial - My Piece of Heaven at Maes Mynan Park

Wildlife and nature at Maes Mynan Holiday Park in North Wales

Nature, memory, and serenity come together in this reflection — a beautiful account of how Maes Mynan Park became a personal sanctuary filled with daily joys and quiet magic.

I am currently sitting here, distracted by the scenery that surrounds me — something that happens often at Maes Mynan Park!
It truly is the most beautiful and inviting holiday park I have been fortunate enough to discover. A hidden gem where the far-reaching views change hourly, depending on the weather, the light, and the season.

Right now, spring has painted the landscape in an extensive palette of greens, mixed with the silvery bark of my favourite trees — the silver birch — alongside many other wonderful varieties. It is truly breathtaking, and it takes my breath away daily!
My grandchildren love it here too.

Springtime at Maes Mynan is something special.
Little flowers awaken overnight — banks of wood anemones, wood violets, and primroses have delighted us first, followed by bluebells, campions, and the rich scent of ramsons (wild garlic).
Daily walks bring something new to smile about, and today I heard the cuckoo — pure joy!
I couldn’t help but think of the ditty we used to sing at school:

“The cuckoo comes in April,
He sings in May,
He changes his tune in the middle of June,
And in July he flies away.”

Hearing the cuckoo is truly special, especially as it’s a sound you don’t hear everywhere these days.

Maes Mynan is tranquil, peaceful, and gives you space to stop, breathe, and find your own peace.

I love this holiday heaven. I can choose to be still, to walk in the sequoia woods, or to settle by the lakes and be bewitched by the views. I can also engage with friendly faces in passing — there’s always a warm soul about. I’m never lonely.

The support team at Maes Mynan is wonderful — always available to assist with any queries — and the groundskeepers work tirelessly to maintain the immaculate parkland that makes this place so magical.

Maes Mynan is beautifully tucked away, yet only a short distance from key road routes and historic towns filled with things to see and do. Coastal walking and exploring wider North Wales are never far away either.

Maes Mynan Park has it all.
It’s the answer to my prayers — my piece of heaven — and I am forever thankful I found it.

🏡 DL's Testimonial – Creating Our Ideal Lodge Life

Maes Mynan Holiday Park | Acorn Leisure North Wales | Clwydian Range | National Landscape | Lodge for Sale

DL’s story is a practical and insightful look at what makes Maes Mynan Park such a well-run, high-standard, and truly liveable retreat — from service to setting.

Maes Mynan gives me a second home in beautiful countryside, where I can walk, enjoy nature, relax, and read — without worrying about maintenance or gardening.

At just under 90 minutes from home, it’s far enough to feel like we’ve truly gone away, yet near enough for short, spontaneous breaks.

We’ve stayed in tents, toured, and owned statics.
Maes Mynan is the most beautiful and best-laid-out park we’ve ever experienced.

The owners, Peter and Louise, are friendly and involved — always ready to help.
It’s not part of a large group, so you’re speaking directly to decision-makers.

The lodge we created was bespoke, working closely with Louise to meet our specific requirements. It’s a design we’re genuinely proud of, and it’s served us perfectly over the years.

The external composite cladding is maintenance-free, the plots are spacious, and all bases are pre-installed — no surprises, just thoughtful planning.

What stands out most?

The exceptional upkeep. The operations team really care, and it shows — creating a culture of pride that resonates with every owner.

There are woodlands, paths, and peaceful spaces all across the park — the lake is the centrepiece, but the views to the south are magnificent and change with the seasons.

The maintenance is exceptional — the operations team is second to none.

JK’s Testimonial – A Seamless Journey to Lodge Ownership

Peaceful holiday retreat for holiday homeowners in North Wales | Maes Mynan Park

From first-time lodge buyers to confident owners, JK’s story captures how the right guidance — and the right setting — made all the difference at Maes Mynan Park.

In 2020, we purchased our first lodge at Maes Mynan Holiday Park.
We had no previous experience with this kind of purchase, but Louise and Peter made the whole process seamless.

Peter’s knowledge of the different types of lodges and caravans available was second to none. And Louise’s understanding of internal layout and design helped us create a lodge that was perfect for our lifestyle and needs.

As for the park itself — well, they say seeing is believing.
Having visited many other parks before making our decision, Maes Mynan Park stood out above the rest.

It offers stunning views, country walks, and open green space.
It’s also dog-friendly and, most importantly for us, the perfect place to relax and unwind in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

We have never looked back.
